A cocktail brand bursting with personality.
Who is Penny's?
Penny's is a cocktail company producing delicious drinks for consumers in the UK and beyond.
The owners, who run a series of successful hotels in and around the Liverpool area, saw their cocktail concoctions soar with popularity.
They noticed that quirky cocktails with fun flavours were a real hit in the hospitality sector but lacked the same presence in shops and supermarkets.
This sparked an ambition in the owners to create a high-end bottled cocktail experience, where "pre-drinks are better than the night out".
What did they need?
After viewing On Poynt Creative's portfolio, featuring projects that burst with creativity and personality, Penny's knew we were just the agency for the job. They almost instantly wanted our complete 'End-to-End Service' package - to design a brand look & feel that looked as good as their cocktails tasted.
They wanted their branding to scream fun; utilising quirky illustrations and a conversational tone of voice to create a brand that drinkers can associate with & a community they want to be a part of.

We developed Memphis-inspired illustrations for the label designs and produced snappy copy to inject each flavour with a unique personality.

When designing Penny's overall look & feel, we took inspiration from the Memphis design movement in the 1980s.
We utilised bold primary colours and contrasting prints - an iconic Memphis aesthetic - and continued that thinking through isometric illustrations, bevelled typography and brand layout composition.
By doing so, we breathed personality into the brand and used out-the-box thinking to motivate customers to drink Penny's cocktails.
