FAQS
Straight answers about branding, design, websites, packaging, and how we work with ambitious businesses.
BRAND CREATION
A typical brand creation project includes discovery, brand strategy and positioning, messaging, a full visual identity (logo, colour, typography, graphic elements), and brand guidelines. We can also extend into the applications you need - packaging, website, social and print.
Don't swear! Absolutely not. A logo is one part of a much bigger system. Real brand identity is the strategy, personality, messaging and full visual toolkit that make you recognisable and consistent everywhere you show up, of which the logo is just the signature.
We work through six stages: Discover, Explore, Define, Create, Refine and Activate. We start by understanding your business and audience, explore directions, define the strategy, create the identity, refine the chosen route with you, then activate it across everything you need.
Most brand identity projects take around 8 to 12 weeks, depending on how much strategy and how many applications are involved. We agree the schedule upfront so you know each milestone.
Brand creation projects typically range from £6,000 to £30,000 depending on scope. A focused identity sits at the lower end, a full strategy-led brand with applications at the higher end. You get a clear proposal with deliverables and investment before we start.
Yes. Brand strategy, positioning, tone of voice and messaging are part of how we build a brand. We shape what you say and how you sound, not just how you look.
Yes. We deliver clear, practical brand guidelines so anyone (your team or future suppliers) can apply your identity correctly and keep it consistent as you grow. Check out some of our projects where you can see the guideline documents we have produced.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Posters, ads, print pieces, social content, presentations, marketing collateral - essentially anything that needs a sharp, on-brand creative treatment across print and digital.
Both. We take on standalone design projects, and we also support businesses through ongoing retainers for regular design work, ideal if you have a steady flow of collateral, campaigns or social content.
Every project starts with a tight brief that sets the goal, audience and deliverables. We then explore concepts, build the chosen direction properly, refine it with your feedback, and hand over clean, production-ready files in every format you need.
It depends on the piece and the queue, but we agree a clear deadline on every brief and stick to it. For retainer clients we set expected turnaround times so you can plan around them.
Graphic design is best when quoted per project, typically from £750 to £4,000 or via a day rate or monthly retainer for ongoing work. We'll recommend whichever suits how much design you need.
Yes. If you have brand guidelines we work within them to keep everything consistent; if you don't, we can help establish the basics so your materials still look like they belong together.
You get clean, organised, production-ready files in every format you need, print-ready artwork built to spec, plus digital formats for web and social, along with anything else agreed in the brief.
PACKAGING
Both. We create packaging for brand-new products from concept, and help established brands refresh, extend or bring consistency to existing ranges.
Yes. We take packaging from concept all the way to final, print-ready artwork built to your printer's specification, so it goes to production without a hitch.
We can work with your existing printer and liaise with them on specs and production, or point you to trusted production partners if you don't have one, whatever makes the process smoother.
The product details, any existing brand assets, your printer's specification if you have one (dimensions, materials, print method), and a sense of the range and where it'll sell. We'll guide you through anything you're unsure about.
Most packaging projects take around 3 to 8 weeks depending on the number of SKUs and rounds of refinement, plus print production lead time. We'll set out the schedule at the start.
Packaging projects typically range from £1,500 to £8,000 depending on the number of products and complexity. We quote per project once we understand the range.
REBRANDING
A rebrand is a more fundamental change to your positioning, strategy and identity, while a refresh evolves selected elements, often the visuals, while keeping the equity you've already built. We'll advise honestly on which you actually need, because a full rebrand isn't always the right call.
Common signs are: your brand no longer reflects the quality or ambition of your business, you've outgrown your original look, you've shifted direction, or you no longer stand out from competitors. If your brand is holding back growth rather than driving it, it's time to look at it.
Not if it's handled properly. We assess what's working and carries real equity, keep or evolve those elements deliberately, and change what's holding you back - so you modernise without throwing away the recognition you've earned.
Yes. We can audit your current brand, identify what's working and what isn't, and evolve the areas that no longer reflect your quality or ambitions rather than starting from a blank page if you don't need to.
Most rebrands take around 10 to 14 weeks depending on how much changes and how many touchpoints need updating. We agree a schedule covering discovery through to rollout.
Rebrands typically range from £8,000 to £40,000 depending on how fundamental the change is and how many assets need reworking. We quote each one individually after understanding the scope.
It can, especially if the website changes too - but handled properly it's low-risk. We plan redirects and keep your content and structure sound so you carry your search equity across rather than losing it.
WEBSITE
Both. We design and have our selected UK based partners ready to build the site end to end, so the brand, the experience and the technical build all come from one team and hold together. No handing off a design to someone we've never met, and leave them to interpret.
We work through discovery, wireframes, visual design, build and launch. We start with a discovery workshop, map out key pages as black-and-white wireframes, design the full visuals, build a responsive site, then launch with a CMS handover and two weeks of post-launch support. The full website process is available on the website service page.
Yes, if you tell us that's important at discovery. We build on a content management system so your team can update the areas that matter to you, and we include a handover session so you're confident using it. You're never locked out of your own site.
Most websites take around 10 to 16 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on the number of pages and features. We agree the timeline and key review points upfront.
Website projects typically range from £2,000 to £5,000 for small or one page websites, and £8,000 to £40,000 for larger websites, depending on the number of pages, features and how much content and design is involved. You'll get a clear proposal before we begin.
Yes. Every site we build is responsive across devices and built on clean, search-friendly foundations; sensible structure, fast performance and the technical basics done properly - so it's ready to be found, not just to look good.
Yes. We include two weeks of support after launch, and can arrange hosting and ongoing maintenance or a support retainer beyond that, based on what you need.
General
We're a strategic branding agency offering brand strategy, brand identity, packaging design, website design and build, graphic design, and ongoing creative support. We can lead a complete project end to end, propose a short sprint of hourly design services, or work as your integrated design team through a retention model.
We treat every project as a brand problem first and a design job second. We start with strategy, commercial value and customer journey - then design, so the work doesn't just look good, it does the job. You deal directly with the people doing the work, and everything is built to be used consistently long after launch.
Ambitious businesses that want to grow, evolve or communicate more clearly. This means from start-ups laying their first foundations to established national brands. What our clients share isn't a sector or a size (albeit we do have a portfolio geared towards certain industries as a matter of organic word of mouth discussions) it's that they're ready to invest properly in getting their brand right.
Yes we do, we love start-ups. We work with start-ups that are serious about building a strong brand from day one, and we shape the level of the engagement to suit an early-stage budget while still giving you foundations you won't outgrow in a year.
We're based at LCB Depot in Leicester and work with clients across the UK and beyond. Most collaboration happens remotely with calls and shared previews. We do prefer to meet in person, so we'll always try and get to see you before we start working together to make sure we are a good match!
Every project is quoted individually against what you actually need (no bloated packages) and you get transparent, fixed pricing before any work begins, unless you want to simply put a smaller project 'on the clock'.
Most branding design projects take between 8 and 12 weeks from kick off to delivery, depending on size and scope. We agree a clear timeline upfront so you always know what's happening and when. Websites can take slightly longer depending on site size and content provision.
We start by understanding your business and goals, then define a strategic direction, develop the creative, refine the chosen route with you, and deliver the final assets ready to use. Every process we run has a step by step guide on our service pages. You're involved at every stage, no big reveal at the end that misses the mark.
Simply, just a conversation to begin with. From there we run a short discovery stage to understand your business, your audience and your ambitions, and we'll tell you clearly what we need from you at each step.
You get everything you need to use your brand with confidence. That's final files, guidelines, and a handover so your team knows how to apply it. We're also on hand afterwards if you need support or want to keep working together. We don't just disappear and we will check back in with you after a couple of months to make sure everything is as expected.
Yes. Many clients keep us on through a monthly retainer for regular design work. These are jobs such as social, campaigns, print, updates so you have a creative team on call without hiring in-house. Retainers start from £1,500 and are shaped around what you need.
Get in touch and tell us about your business, what you're trying to achieve, and any important timings. We'll set up an initial conversation and take it from there. Contact us via email, phone or through any social channel.
Still unsure? Tell us about the project and we'll point you in the right direction.
